MacAllister Vineyard

This second vintage of Eponymous Cabernet Sauvignon displays ripe, opulent
fruit from the moment the wine is poured. Held to the light, this elegant
wine shimmers with a stunning deep purple-scarlet color that announces the

site with a Southwesterly exposure. After picking, hand-harvested fruit was
fermented with utmost care and the resulting wine was aged 20 months in new
oak (80% French and 20% American), with frequent racking the first year.

The grapes come from a single vineyard, MacAllister Vineyard, near the ridge of the Mayacamas Range on the Sonoma side of Mt. Veeder. This is a spectacular sloping site with multiple exposures and well drained, low fertility soils.
The second vintage of Eponymous MacAllister Vineyard Red Wine exhibits the traits expected in a Bordeaux Blend. Elegance and refinement without giving up any body or structure.
Winemaking: A joint effort between myself and my consulting partner, Jeff Booth. This is our second Bordeaux Blend since we teamed up on the first Conn Creek Anthology, 1991 vintage. That wine was the highest rated wine in the 25 year history of Stimson Lane at the time, and we think this wine is at least its equal.
