2000 Eponymous Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Having sold his eponymous winery and not able to use his name for a while, Robert
Pepi got his new label going, and it's called: EPONYMOUS. This ultra-premium
level entry is a great concentrated and extracted juice product. A deep red
color sets the pace for a wine that reveals itself a bit lighter in the mouth
than you'd expect with a medium to full body and long legs. Dark Berries, chocolate,
light spices, and smokey wood flavor characterize this new offering with a moderate
finish. We like the wine quite a bit and it could be a true winner in five years.
Bravo Bob!

90 points - 2001 Eponymous Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Excellent intensity, richness and complexity, with ripe, fleshy black cherry,
wild berry, plum and spicy floral notes. Shows more flesh and polish than most
2000's, with a nice mix of acidity and tannin to give it structure and depth.
New from Robert Pepi; he just can't use his name on the front label. Drink now
though 2010 - J.L.

2001 Eponymous Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep and complex, with black cherry and hints of licorice and black olive. Firm
structure suggests aging potential. From Robert Pepi the man, not the brand.
